Mama's Ramblings

Here Chase is about 8:45 P.M. last night. He was laying on our couch about to pass out.

Here he is today with a black eye. I don't know if you can tell in this picture, but we took a close up on the picture below.


Right as Jeremy was telling me that it was too dark in the room, Chase got off of the couch and ran right into the corner of our dining room table. It was SO sad. He split the skin in the corner of his eye, got a bloody nose, and threw up everywhere. Then he just wanted to go to sleep, so we were worried about his little head even more. I was talking to my uncle (our personal doctor. :-) on the phone after it happened and he said because of the combination of the nose bleeding, the throwing up and the blood coming out of the corner of his eye, we might want to take him to the ER just to check it out. He said that he is 99% positive that it is nothing, but without seeing him it is hard to tell and it isn't like Chase can tell us that he is okay. SO OFF WE GO...we went to Children's Mercy hospital in Overland Park. We were there until 11:30 P.M.. First they examined him and check all the bones in his head, made sure all of his reflexes still worked okay, and then they wanted to watch Chase and see how he acted for the next hour. Chase did so good. He went around saying "HI" to everyone. I think he just likes to flirt. This poor little girl just wanted him to go away. I don't think that she felt very good. Let's just say last night was a long night, but everything is okay and for our 1st experience at the ER it was pretty good. We don't have any complaints.


We will see what happens this week...
