MY WEEK...

There are so many days that I feel like my computer is telling me this...

I think that it has gotten worse since I work in front of a computer now for at least 6-8 hours a day!! I am constantly getting an e-mail from someone with a great, amazing deal that I just have to have!! Luckily, I am getting a lot better at controlling those instantly shopping times.

Then here is another one that most of us can relate to...
The only difference between this and my house is that chase would be tugging on my shirt and not sitting at my feet.
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT EASTER!!

Randomness...

Well, I couldn't sleep so I thought that maybe if I posted some of my random thoughts and unloaded my camera I would be able to. I thought that my blog would be the perfect spot to do that. Hope you don't mind wasting a few minuets of your day/night to read it.

**I love family night! We went out to eat tonight at On the Border (with my free kids meal coupon in tow) and Chase had a BLAST! He just adores his daddy.

I just love how little kids try to figure out EVERYTHING. Even the simplest thing like Sugar is a task and they have to know everything about it. He LOVES tea!
**What is this obsession that our son has with his belly?? He is constantly showing it to people. At school he likes to "stick belly's" as he calls it, with another girl. I figure that the only positive thing that I can think of is that at least it is with a girl. :-)
So cute and ready to go to church!

**I think that I got the Mom Award of the day this past Sunday. We did Chase's favorite 2 things...went to church and then went SHOPPING!! I had a coupon for a free kids meal at the Target Diner :-) . My favorite thing about this place is that they don't CHARGE YOU for extra sauce for your chicken nuggets like other fast food places. AND YES...we are cheap and usually only eat out when we have a coupon or some type of discount in hand...hence lunch at Target. :-)
**Have you seen this at your local Wendy's??
Pretty sure I wouldn't request tomatoes on my sandwich if I saw this sign while ordering. I saw this last week when I thought I would get me some "YUMMY" food. OKAY...so I had an urge for some chicken nuggets, what can I say?? I have a 3 year old and he doesn't like to share his!
That is the randomness of the night...HOPE YALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
P.S. --- I had to put "YALL" because I have a new reader that uses this word and I think that it is GREAT!! (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE...) :-) and by the way, my spell check is telling me that it is a mis-spelling, so hopefully I spelled it how you always do.

Chase's "Motorcycle"

A few weeks ago we finally had a weekend where the temp. hit 60 degrees!! It was AMAZING!! It is mid-March and we are just now getting these temps. We were out all weekend. Chase got on his bike and I was so embarrassed for him! His poor little knees were almost hitting the handlebars. So the next day we took him to Walmart and bought him this...
He picked it out all by himself and he calls it his motorcycle! HE LOVES IT! So now he has graduated from a 12" Spiderman bike to a 16" Motorcycle!!
He is just so proud. He has to lean a little bit when he rides it, so daddy had to help him along the way.

But he was a pro before long!
Then the next day we got a little itch...we had to take Chase on a REAL motorcycle!! Don't worry, he had his own helmet that was provided by his grandpa, he was bundled up and ready to go.
Don't worry, we didn't let him ride like this, but I had to take a picture. I rode behind him and we all held on tight!
I just can't wait until he is a little bit bigger and the boys can go riding together!

WARM WEATHER IS ALMOST HERE!!

The sun started to come out earlier this week. You know what that means?? Motorcycle weather!! Since my husband sells everything before he buys anything, he no longer has his motorcycle...he sold it. He wants to get another one in the next few years, but in the mean time he just borrows my dad's. On my lunch break the other day, I took him out to my dad's house to pick up the bike. While we were there, I told Jeremy that he should wear my dad's chaps! He looked at me like I was crazy, but it was only about 40 degrees when we were there so he took my advice.

He is not a pro at putting these on because he has NEVER tried them on before non-the-less had to wear them before.

Once he figured out how to put them on (which I was laughing so hard instead of telling him what do to. I couldn't find my camera fast enough!!) he could not get them zipped. So that is when I came to the rescue.

Then as he was digging the chaps out, he found my dad's vest. I had to get a picture of him wearing it. Even though he didn't wear it while he was riding, it was fun to take the pictures.

This picture is the BEST!! Don't you love how it "accents"?? SO FUNNY!!

After many laughs, smiles, and jokes, here is the finished result!! He didn't actually wear the vest, but it made for a good picture!!
LOVE YOU HONEY!!

CRAZY HAIR DAY!

In case you guys aren't aware, this past week has been the celebration of Dr. Seuss. Chase's school has been doing all kinds of fun things.

Monday: Bring a Dr. Seuss book to share!!

We borrowed a book from a new friend, Grace. She let us borrow One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. That was the first time that Chase has ever heard that book and he LOVED it. We kind of had a hard time giving it back.

Tuesday: Crazy Hat Day!!

Chase doesn't have any crazy hat's, so we just let him wear a baseball cap. He was just as excited. Except when he got home he said, "MOM, I really want a swirly hat". Maybe next year honey...

Wednesday: Pajama Day!!

Chase really wanted to wear his sports pj's, but they aren't very warm. So I convinced him to wear his fleece pants with his COOL monkey, banana shirt!! Doesn't that just sound so much cooler than sports?? :-) I didn't get a picture of him wearing just the pj's, but he still has them on in the picture below THURSDAY.

Thursday: Crazy Hair Day!

This was the hardest day to prepare for. You see...when your kid already has a FRO, it is hard to make him have "crazy" hair. SO...we did the next best thing...we turned it GREEN!! HA HA...so we bought a wig. Had ya going didn't I??

I thought that I would join in on the fun too! I am going to save my wig for my debut at work on St. Patrick's Day!! So I am sure there will be more green wig pictures in the future.

Friday: Wear Stripes Day!

Not too sure what we are going to do for this day, but I am sure that it will just consist of a striped shirt. Not too much thinking outside of the box on this one.

Which day was your favorite?? What would your ideas be for these theme's?? I think that my favorite was the CRAZY HAIR DAY!! Only because I am obsessed with GREEN!!

WHO KNEW???

So I knew that Chase liked Banana's, Peaches, and other fruits. BUT I never knew that he LOVES apples!! See for yourself...

AWARD TIME...

The rules of this award are:

Copy the award and place it in your blog.
Link the person who nominated you for this award.
Tell us 7 interesting things about you.
Nominate 7 bloggers.
Post the links to the 7 bloggers you nominate.
Thanks for Jess over at Cherish this baby for this award.
You know more then anyone how grateful I am for the friendship that we have had over the past 10+ years (have you ever tried to figure out the exact number of years we have known each other?!?) and you will always be the bestest friend I could ever ask for. I feel like we have helped each other grow in so many ways and we will continue to grow together and with our families. I LOVE YOU!
It is hard to try to think of seven things that are interesting about myself, but I will try.

1) I LOVE WORKING! Not a lot of people can say that, but I really enjoy my job. I am there by 7 AM and not off until 4 PM, but I still enjoy it. I have been working at a construction company for 2 years now doing administrative work. I work with a great group of people and wouldn't trade my job for anything else.

(side note...i love this cartoon because of my history on how fast my hubby and i met, then got engaged about a month later...too funny!)
2) I am a VERY impulsive person. I know that most of you know this by now, but I still think that it is interesting. I think that it is almost out of control sometime. I am not talking about the impulsive type of person that is standing in the check out line at the grocery store and decides to buy a candy bar. I am talking about the kind that just goes to "look" at Nebraska Furniture Mart and then leaves with a brand new living room set. Don't get me wrong, I never do anything impulsive that affects our financial situation, but I am VERY impulsive. The best part is that my husband is starting to be impulsive too!! LOVE IT!

3) I LOVE COUPONS AND SHOPPING! It is almost like therapy for me. The only thing is that I HAVE to have a coupon. That may sound dorky, but I thrive off of coupons. I have saved us SO MUCH $$ by using coupons. For example, the last time that I went to the grocery store, I spent about $100, but I saved over $200!! That means that I got about $300 worth for groceries for only $100!! That is why I LOVE coupons!! Here are some of my favorite websites that I shop on:
At Home America - I use to sell this stuff. IT IS AMAZING! I wish I still sold it, but I just can't commit 100% to it, so I had to give it up. Our house is decorated with all of their merchandise and I am constantly buying new stuff.
Partylite - I think that I am going to have another party in March so that I can get some more of this stuff for our house. I have a wish list going.
Uppercase Living - I am obsessed with this company. Our house is covered with these stickers. It is almost to the annoying point. :-)
Line Roy - this is a new one that Jess showed me. I haven't bought anything yet, but I do have a HUGE wish list.
LTD Commodities - this website has everything you could possibly need, but cheaper. Some of the stuff is cheaply made, but most of it is a great deal! I order from here at least every few months.

4) I am saving $100 a month by purchasing a NEW CAR...well...new to us! I use to have a truck (that I miss dearly), but I told my hubby that it would be nice to have cargo area again. So, my bargin shopping husband came across a Hummer H3 and sent 122 text messages between a dealership and now I have a different vehicle. I LOVE IT! The best part is that I have the same amount of time to pay on this vehicle as I would if I kept my truck and it is $100 cheaper each month!! Dave Ramsey would be proud.
5) I have no patience! This is not a secret to many, but some do not know this. It doesn't matter if I am waiting at a stop light and I want it to turn green, standing in line at the grocery store, or just waiting for someone to call me back. I need a TON of work in this area. I think that I am a ton better, but I just need to learn to be MORE PATIENT!!

6) My husband and I are OBSESSED with Craigslist. I hope that you know what I am talking about. If you have never been to this website, then you need to check it out. It is the first place that we go for EVERYTHING no matter what we are shopping for. If we are going to buy something or sell something, then this is the first website that we will go to. As some of you know, my hubby has to sell something before he will buy it so that is why we are usually found on this website first! Have you ever sold anything on Craigslist?? Did you make good money?? Have you ever bought anything off of Craigslist?? Was it worth it?
WELL...how about 6 things?? I can't seem to think of a 7th item...oh well. Now for award time:
BNW Photography - This is a close friend of ours. She takes our family pictures. Check out her blog and make an appointment. She is the best at what she does and I know that we will never go to anyone else!
MRS. FUZZ - I have never met MRS. FUZZ, but her blog is always making me laugh. We have a lot in common since both of our hubby's are Police Officers.
We Are That Family - I read this blog daily. She is always writing about something that will make me laugh, think or just smile.
Wanna Be Balanced Mom - This is a new blog that I recently started to read. I believe that it is only a few months old. Go over and show some support for this "newby". :-)
The Mommy Rambles - This blog is just full of everything you can think of. I love her randomness.
Nesting Place - I have gotten so many ideas from this blog...enjoy!
once again...six people are getting nominated instead of 7. Always falling 1 short. :-)
HOPE YOU ALL ENJOYED MY RANDOMNESS IN THIS POST!! Make sure you let me know when you post about your award!

My other "master" plumber

I meant to post these pics when I wrote about Jeremy fixing my sink/plumbing. I just thought that you guys would like to see the pictures because they were just too cute to pass up.
Every time that Jeremy would get a new tool, Chase would run to his room and get the same tool from his play set. IT WAS SO FUNNY!

Well...that was my randomness for the day.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO US - PART 2

Here it is...part II...

Jeremy also got me a new cabinet to use as my pantry. IT IS HUGE!! I love it!! The pantry in our kitchen is pretty small and I am the type of person that will buy most of my groceries when they are on sale, so when I stock up on stuff, I need the room to store it. CHECK IT OUT!!

He even had a nice corner piece put on it so it still looked decorative at the same time. We didn't want our kitchen to look like a huge storage room.
I have already filled it up!! I am so excited that even though I put everything that I wanted in it, I still have a little room left over.
THANKS BABE FOR THE BEST VALENTINE'S GIFT EVER!!
